[The other ones I let myself buy were the new Jacqueline Carey, the new Bujold and the Joey Hill book, which are all getting published middle of the year. Which is when I anticipate I will be going mad trying to finish all the books I couldn’t make myself finish the first time]

In short, no pressure, but this book is meant to save my sanity. And 450 pages worth of New Fiction may just do it.

See, but I always assume that when a reviewer has obviously read the book (can’t always say that about Ms. Klausner) but confuses characters, it sometimes means the difference wasn’t clear enough to stick in the reviewer’s memory after a couple of days, which may be my fault — And there were a lot of characters running through the book, so the confusion is an easy one. And that confusion says as much about the book as about the reviewer’s memory, sometimes.

But, yeah, the husband wasn’t a bad guy. He was actually kind of a good guy (except his brain got totally fucked over by Lilith when she made him jealous).

It was dense and I did have to go back and reread some stuff but I loved the same things about Lilith and Hugh that you did. And Lucifer? What a asshole and so gleeful about it and truly, truly bad. Not that wimpy bad guy shit. So good.

The dialogue? It was amazing–back and forth and pull and tug and give and take and….(can I think of another cliche? No.) Then the secks–way hot. I see what you mean about too much talking but I shall politely (this is polite, right? *smooch*) disagree.
