Have you ever considered submitting this as an article somewhere? Seriously, your autobiographical pieces are that good.

I have two very eloquently written rejection letters from The New Yorker. A prof had required we submit to them. ha ha.

Can’t say I’ve ever had nails in my soles, but I’ve had splinters in my ass. Actually, I wrote about that for English class a few years ago. I called it “A New Definition for the Word Porcupine”, I wanted to add “My ass” in paranthesis.

I totally agree with LE Bryce. They are good!
I wasn’t expecting that turn when I read that title. Strangely, that is how most of my female friends got started on comics. Quite a few ended up in the hospital for various reasons while a child and were given comics to help get them through that inactive period.

Ouch! No nails or screws in my past, but I did end up with a toothpick through the meat of my big toe once. Anyway, great story and style.
