Mmmmm I love Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent from "Devil in Winter", playboy, lazy type who's totally aware of his hawtness. He grows into a very loving husband who takes a bullet for his belurved! I can't help but love that he says he's scoundrel, rake etc. he's such an evil person and Evie's reaction is kind of like "yeah, uh huh you're a real bad guy", which makes me giggle.

While I don't think I'd pick him as my favorite, Sebastian is a wonderful choice!!!

I really like Mary Balogh's distainful dukes. She has two, one in More Than A Mistress, and Bedwyn in Slightly Dangerous. (I see someone else gave Wulfric Bedwyn a vote, too. ;-)

I'd give Rhett Butler a vote, too, if he counts.

Linda Howard can sure right some sex heroes. Her next book that comes out in June looks to be a pretty good read.

I'm with Cormia-- I liked March from Grimspace.

Also like Carrie Lofty's angst-y heros like Mark from Sundial and Will Scarlet from her upcoming What a Scoundrel Wants

I luv Jack Seward from All Through The Night by Connie Brockway and Peter from Cold As Ice. Both of these guys think they're the best at what they do; but get completely trounced by their respective heroines.

I'm also quite fond of Gray from Between the Lines by JAK - great subtle sense of humor and one of the few heroes who gives his leading lady time to fall in love with him.

Diaz! Yessss. When he does that Vulcan neck trick on the heroine and says "take a nap"! Now, why do I find that sexy?

Shannon - Good call with Stan Wolchonok, I love him. That whole story is one of my faves. I love how he just can't get over the fact that Teri loves him. Makes me feel all gooshy inside every time.

I also love Dane Hollister from Linda Howard's Dream Man. Talk about your walking, talking erection. I love how earthy he is.

Also, how 'bout Wulfric Bedwyn? I adore him. He's amazing in his effort to get Christine to see beyond the title.

For my money, McKenna from Lisa Kleypas's Again the Magic is my favorite of her historical heroes. I love how mad he gets at the end of the story at the heroine for nearly throwing away their love. And well, then there's Gage Travis from Sugar Daddy. I loves me some Gage, and my love affair with him only continues in Blue Eyed Devil.

*looks* Hey, so she did. Awesome! I'll be curious to see how that comparison holds up in book two.

Totally agree about Diaz, Katie. If anyone was wondering, the authors behind my heroes were, in order:

Lisa Kleypas, Loretta Chase, Kimberly Cates, Linda Howard, Anne Stuart.

I'll have to second Kim with Gray Rouillard from After the Night. The man was a walking, talking erection, but his devotion to Faith once he realizes he's in love with her... damn. Linda Howard knows how to write alpha heroes who are borderline scary, but oh-so-sexy.

Ann Aguirre, did you notice that somebody mentioned March and compared him to Mal Reynolds? Oooooh...
