@Allie

Mea culpa.

Daisy, Annabelle... I can't be arsed to remember these things! I wanted him to be paired up with one of them Wallflowers, period (the shy one who he kissed in the wine cellar or something).

And dead wife, dead fiancee... that's just semantics now. Do you think the title matters one whit to him since her death destroyed him forever and turned him into a drinking, whoring, dissolute rake so caught up in his internal misery that no plucky, headstrong heroine can ever break him out of it ever?!?!

Oh, and "its"

Whilst it's refreshing to see a review that does not mince it's words a la Smart Bitches, I can't help but feel that you were so caught up in all the snarkiness that you got some details wrong at the end.

The Hathaway brother you mention does not have a dead wife in his past, but a fiancee and Cam Rohan was never intended for Annabelle (who married Simon Hunt in the 1st Wallflower book Secrets of a Summer Night). LK originally paired him with Daisy- they have 1 scene together in DIW.

From now on, I'm going to refrain from reading these reviews at work. I can't afford to pee in my pants in public. Thanks Ai!

A la Cute Overload's "Cute or Sad" category, I think you've discovered a great one for Romancelandia: "Romantic or Creepy". I see many, many embedded polls from this.
